The Wollemi pine is classified as critically endangered (CR) on the IUCN's Red List,[1] and is legally protected in Australia.
The Wollemi Pine is one of the world's oldest and rarest tree species belonging to a 200 million year old plant family. It was known from fossil records and presumed extinct until it was discovered in 1994 in the Wollemi National Park just outside Australia's largest city, Sydney.
In the wild there are now less than 100 trees remaining.
This plant has been sourced ethically and will be supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity. Royalties from sales of the Wollemi Pine to support conservation of the Wollemi Pine and other rare and endangered plant species
Height approx 80cm including pot. It is double trunked so could potentially have the second trunk removed to propagate.
This plant has been in a cold greenhouse throughout winter so has been 'toughened up' and could be planted out this year.
