Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is a member of a group of bromides called air plants. These plants have no roots, and absorb all the moisture and nutrients they need through specialized scales on their stringy leaves.
Place Spanish moss in the bright light of an east- or west-facing window. Make sure the plant is just outside the reach of direct sunlight in the summer. It's fine in direct sunlight the rest of the year.
Spray Spanish moss with water at least twice weekly.
